Terms and Conditions

  1. Participation in the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme constitutes the participant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Terms & Conditions.
  2. Members will be provided with reasonable notice of any changes to the Terms & Conditions relating to the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme.
  3. Eligibility: To become a member of this Loyalty Programme, persons must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  4. Only individuals in their personal capacity may become members of the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme.
  5. The More Miles Journie Rewards Programme will only be suspended without notice where technical issues or unforeseen circumstances necessitate same, however wherever possible, reasonable advance notice of any suspension will be provided.
  6. The More Miles Rewards Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme is available at both Sol and Esso™ branded Service Stations in Barbados.
  7. Members in the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme may be issued with loyalty cards which will remain the property of the issuer at all times. Members shall be responsible for safely securing the loyalty cards once issued to them. Lost, stolen or damaged loyalty cards will be replaced for a fee of BDS $10 payable by the participant. Where a loyalty card has been lost, misplaced or stolen, a member should immediately notify the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme so that the member’s account can be frozen. The More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme will not be liable for any transactions on a member’s account between the period where the card has been lost, misplaced or stolen and its notification of same.
  8. The value of points for each tier in the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme may be subject to modification provided that members will be given reasonable notice of any such change.
  9. Points for a fuel transaction will be credited to a participant’s account for which a loyalty card (either in physical or electronic form) has been presented. Points will be issued per litre of fuel purchased in each fuel transaction in accordance the relevant tier as mentioned and/or referred to in clause 11 hereto. Points may be redeemed as outlined on the More Mile Rewards website: www.moremilesrewards.com

  11. There are four (4) tiers in the More Miles Journie Rewards Programme. These tiers are: (1) Blue, (2) Silver, (3) Gold, (4) Platinum. Each participant will start at the blue tier and will be upgraded to a new tier in accordance with clause 12 herein. As you progress through the tiers, the points per litre received increases.
  12. Member tier status upgrades may occur either automatically on reaching the requisite threshold required for upgrade within a twelve (12) month period or upon selection as part of a special promotion. Information pertaining the thresholds for each tier will be posted on the More Miles Journie Rewards website www.moremilesrewards.com
  13. Member tier status downgrades occur on January 1 each year if the required litre threshold is not maintained within a twelve (12) month period. Refer to threshold limits on How it Works link for more information.
  14. Points are earned at the new tier level immediately after an upgrade/downgrade. Each member retains their previously accumulated points on moving to a new tier.
  15. Points will be awarded for the each complete litre of fuel purchased.
  16. Points will not expire. However if a customer’s account is inactive for more than eighteen (18) months, the account will be deactivated and the accumulated points will no longer be available.
  17. Bonus points received can be redeemed for fuel purchases, however they do not count towards the member tier status allocation.
  18. Members who are also users of Sol’s Fleet Card may not obtain points in a transaction where a Sol Fleet Card is used.
  19. The More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme reserves the right to modify or remove accumulated points from the members account if:

    1. Points were erroneously awarded to the member’s account.
    2. Points are suspected to have been fraudulently recorded or obtained.

    However, the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme shall notify a member prior to modifying or removing accumulated points outlining its reason for proposing to do so and give the member a reasonable timeframe to respond. Should the member be unable to provide a satisfactory response the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme shall have the right to modify or remove accumulated points.
  20. A member’s account may be suspended pending further investigation if fraudulent or dishonest activity is suspected and the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme reserve the right to terminate a member’s account and cancel accrued points, if after an investigation we determine in our sole judgment that the member either fraudulently or dishonestly abused the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme or misrepresented any information associated to the programme.
  21. The More Miles Journie Rewards Programme makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied regarding the More Miles Journie Rewards Programme.
  22. The More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme members agree to release and hold harmless Sol and its affiliates, subsidiaries and independent contractors, including advertising agencies and promoters of this Loyalty Programme, from any and all liability with respect to acceptance, possession or use (or misuse) by members of points and/or prizes offered in the More Miles Loyalty Programme.
  23. Payment of all local taxes and filing of all tax forms in relation to the points and prizes is the sole responsibility of each More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty member.
  24. Members may withdraw from the More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme at any time upon notifying the More Miles Journie Loyalty Programme of their intention to withdraw. Upon receipt of notification of a member’s withdrawal from the More Miles Journie Loyal Programme, the member’s account will be immediately discontinued and all points remaining in the member’s account at the time of notification of withdrawal will be nullified and invalidated automatically and there will be no obligation or liability in respect of such points, by way of compensation or otherwise to the Loyalty member and the member shall have no claim against the programme in respect of the nullified or invalidated points. Members are therefore encouraged to redeem all points before withdrawing from the More Miles Journie Loyalty Programme to fully benefit from accumulated points.
  25. The More Miles Journie Rewards Loyalty Programme reserves the right to discontinue, withdraw or terminate this programme at any time upon one (1) month’s notice to members. Upon notification of the programme discontinuance, withdrawal or termination, the Loyalty member shall have one month, being the notice period, from the date of notification to use accumulated points for redemption of rewards. Upon expiry of the aforesaid notice period, the points remaining in the member’s account shall be nullified and invalidated automatically and there will be no obligation or liability in respect of such points, by way of compensation or otherwise to the Loyalty member and the member shall have no claim against the programme in respect of the nullified or invalidated points.
  26. These Official Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of Barbados.
